Sunni Curtis has been a Digital Accessibility Specialist at the University of Phoenix since 2023. Sunni holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from ASU, a CPACC certification from IAAP, and participates in workshops and conferences to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in digital accessibility.
Janet Brims Fukuda is the manager of Accessibility and Usability at the University of Phoenix. She began her career in K-12 education, significantly impacting students with disabilities and guiding educators from the district level.
As a State Assistive Technology Specialist, Janet led statewide initiatives to improve educational access for students with disabilities, developed training programs for educators, and implemented advanced assistive technologies.
Transitioning to higher education, Janet managed an Assistive Technology program. At the University of Phoenix, she has enhanced digital accessibility, spearheading an Accessibility SME program for engineers and developers. In addition, Janet is Co-chair of the University's President's Council on DIEB Accessibility Working Group.
Janet holds a Master's in Education/Special Education with an Interdisciplinary Certificate in Assistive Technology. and is an IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies
