Making Your Social Media More Accessible to ALL!

As a university that prides itself on inclusion, sometimes we don't forget to consider how ot be inclusive with social media. Though accessible social media may seem daunting, it's very easy to do and important to implement. Many times we focus a lot on our the visuals or getting the text just right and we forget that we don't all consume content in the same way. When you make accessible content a foundation for your production, it's very easy to make a big difference for those who truly need it and can make a big difference for your social media communties.

After getting certified in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Charrie learned a very valuable lesson. Inclusion is more than just acknowledging that there is an issue but what are YOU doing to make things better for everyone. Social media is not an easy nut to crack, but that doesn't mean there aren't things that we can do to make inclusion part of our message.
